![]() x-no-archive: I was asked to mix a gig of two rock bands in another country (five day trip in all for me), in a place where it seems as of now impossible to gather any info on what kind of sound reinforcement gear there will be available. my suggestions an IPOD with some of your favorite music and an adapter cable to (2) 1/4" plugs so you can play some music through the system that you are familiar with and get everything set up... if you want to be fancy, you can pre-record some pink noise on it and bring a laptop with a real time analyzer program and a mic that you can connect to it... and correct power adpters etc.. the RTA is helpful to identify the feedback frequency if you want to ring out the system assumming you have an graphic or parametric EQ to do something about it... or use it with the pink noise hearing and "other" protection find out what the board is and download and print a copy of the manual for it if you like but not really needed WHITE GAFF tape to mark the faders have fun Mark |
