Start by moving the SF-12 further away from the cymbal that's too loud.

What would be the best plan of attack to control the cymbals? So far I've thought of compression, multiband compression, possible eqing, enhancers. Most of the drum sound is coming from the overheads so I don't have many other channels to play with.I want to effect the rest of the kit as little as possible with whatever I do,although I realize there will need to be some give and take to control the cymbals I recently got a KSP8 here at the studio so I'm going to try messing with that tommorroww. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Pete Ruthenburg |
