Hi All,

I just moved into an apartment, from a house, and need to solve an
acoustics problem. I've got a V-Drum kit and am worried about the noise
that's transmitted through the floor from the kick drum pedal. In our
house my ex always told me it was pretty loud.

I'm considering getting some SheetBlok to set the kit up on. It's a
very dense vinyl that's supposedly "6db more effective than solid lead
at stopping the transmission of sound".

Has anyone used SheetBlok, or have any other suggestions?

Since you mention an Auralex product I'll mention the one that's suits
your application better. It's PlatFoam not Sheetblok that you'll want
to use from Aualex.
