Went into a Radio Crack today to buy some fuses. I was immediately
stalked by 2 salesmen. I knew what I wanted and where it was, so I just
ignored them as they followed me over to the fuse bin. They insisted on
"helping" me and I told them flat out "no, I don't need any help." After
getting what I wanted, I went to the register. I then WAITED for 10
minutes until someone came over to check me out, but then only after I
went over to them glaring at them and asking someone to attend to the
till.

That is precisely my pet peeve of RS, as well.

My practice these days is that when I walk in and they ask if they can
help me, I tell them that I would like them to be at the cash register
when I have found my merchandise (on my own). I have been known
to walk out of a store with the goods on the counter after yelling in
the store that the till is unattended and I'm going to another store.
