![]() What are the issues when using a BRC with the Alesis HD24? Any restrictions on functionality, or length from recorder? Paul A bunch of the functions don't work. I have to start the recording on each new song once from the HD 24 before the BRC will work. The location points cannot be saved with the songs or on the HD24 for future use. Track delay only works in delay, whereas the HD24 can advance a track. There is no way to record @44.1 using the BRC because the BRC sends out 48k clocking. You can mix using the BRC, @44.1 by using the varipitch. I use the BRC for track arming, location, and punch ins and it works fine in thatapplication. Richard H. Why can't you use an external clock? The BRC syncs up to an external source just fine, in fact I recommend doing it because the clock in the BRC is so, shall we say "less than stellar". Mark http://SoundtechRecording.com Thanks mark, I'll try it . I have some really nice clocks around the place, but have never used them for this. I think that my Crane Song HEDD will do this.
