The Focusrite will give you plenty of gain at least. It's compressor is
not very exciting. I've never felt it gave me anything I could not do
with a decent plugin. The Eq is clean, sounds good and can be quite
surgical. I find the sweepable high and low pass to be really useful.

I have not used the Langevin, but I can't imagine the Focusrite having
more pizazz. I like to record things fairly clean and process afterwards,
rather than getting the colour on the way in, so it works for me.
