For a center-terminated LDC capsule, which connection is the center
one? It's the diaphragm, right? The backplate is the one that is normally screwed right into the side of the capsule? Sean B |

It's whichever one you want. How you want to wire it depends on the capsule. Think about what the configuration that would give you _least_ parasitic capacitance across the capsule would be. Sean B You are correct. The distinction is usually between center terminated or edge terminated. Both relate to how the connection is made to the diaphragm, not the back plate.
