Lisa Lavie, you may have already heard of her, she's become something
of a YouTube phenom. This seems like a pretty solid "one take" performance. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Dee_m9Yfe2A&fmt=18 |

It seems a solid "one take" performance.
But since the camera is in the vocal booth and the singer wears headphones the song was recorded, then mixed and then a montage was made with the video. Probably many effects were used. Maybe autotune.... Or maybe the video is a lipsinc.... who knows? Don't believe in what you see. F. Lisa Lavie, you may have already heard of her, she's become something of a YouTube phenom. "Montage" in the way I've ever heard the term used refers to multiple shots. This, along with all the other vids of hers I've seen is a steady shot of her singing. Probably many effects were used. Maybe autotune.... Or maybe the video is a lipsinc.... who knows? Don't believe in what you see. In this case I do, unless she did song after song of the absolute tightest lip-syncing I've ever seen. For my money what I'm seeing matches what I'm hearing. Yes, it's entirely possible there was treatment of the audio after the fact. But that it was all laid down at once seems to indicate she's got her stuff in one sock. |
