YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND. The creation of a square wave requires precise
alignment of the fundamental, 3rd, 5th. 7th, 9th harmonics and so on.

Screw the phase up - and you see that frequency pop out and the square wave
lose coherence.

Instead of trying to figure out how I might be wrong - you might spend a
minute of two and figure out what I was trying to say.

Perhaps you might heed your own advice, and spend a minute or two and
figure out what Mr. JMV Miller was trying to say. He is exactly right.

He is true - in a linear system it is impossible to generate harmonics or
intermodulations - or, indeed any new frequencies - but his comments,
however correct, were not relevant to what I was saying.
