Motorola DCP501Audio Problem

My home theater amplifier all of a sudden has almost no volume. In
any mode, I have to turn the volume control to max to get any volume
at all. Is this a symptom of a failure of the power amp. Anyone have
any ideas on how I might troubleshoot it. I thought maybe there might
be a power amp fuse, but after opening the case, I don't see anything
obvious.
