Default Who determines what artists get played on a corporate station's holiday playlist?

At Christmas, the lists are selected for appeal and familiarity. Very few
new songs are added from one year to another, and the music for the next
year is tested with listeners for appeal around this time of the year this
year. In other words, the music for December 2008 is being tested right now.

Coincidentally, as I read your post, my local college radio station is
playing a punk song entitled "Santa Claus is a Child Molester." I don't
think it'll make top 40, though, if only because of the number of times
they use the word "****."
