I can't find rice-paper sleeves ANYWHERE. I'd like to get some of
those rounded Nagaoka's but I can't find anything at all. Does anyone know where I can pick some up? I didn't see any on Audio Advisor or Music Directs' websites. Thanks, Steve |

Acoustic Sounds has record sleeves. The web site doesn't say if they are
rice paper or not. http://store.acousticsounds.com/brow...Title_ID=13905 ....DGG "Steve D." wrote in message news:iaWgc.29089$yD1.73747@attbi_s54... I can't find rice-paper sleeves ANYWHERE. Here's a place that advertises rice paper sleeves: http://www.redtrumpet.com/accessories/?sid=1092166112 You have to scroll pretty far down the page (under "Red Trumpet Products") to find it. But "rice paper" seems to be one of those terms that people throw around rather freely, so I can't guarantee that this product is what you want. I recall seeing it used in the past to describe a product that was clearly plastic, not paper. (I'm not even sure you can make paper from rice.) As a practical matter, modern plastic-lined sleeves are widely available and widely used by audiophiles, with no reported ill effects that I've ever seen. (Earlier plastics apparently had a tendency to fuse with the disk, which was not a good thing.) bob __________________________________________________ _______________ From must-see cities to the best beaches, plan a getaway with the Spring Travel Guide! http://special.msn.com/local/springtravel.armx |

I'm a 16 year old getting into vinyl and I want to take care of them as best I can. I am constantly seeing that rice-paper sleeves are the best but upon researching I can only seem to find mention of sleeves with rice paper sandwiched between 2 layers of HDPE. I'm not sure if this is the type of sleeve everyone's recommending, or if there's a plain rice-paper one that's best. I am finding the Mobile Fidelity sleeves but they don't actually have rice-paper in them. Does anyone know the *best* inner-sleeve you can get today? Thanks, Steve |
