I know this is not a tube amp but I figured I'd post here in hopes
that someone might be capable of the repair or might recommend a tech to me. The amp is one of 50 made back in 1993-1994 by Genesis. I have been in contact with the designers (artie nudell & paul mcgowan) about finding a tech to repair my amp but got no help. Eveidently, it's a rather complex amp. There was no service manual created for it (so I'm told). I do have a complete set of schematics for it though. I sent this 160 lb. amp out to Scott Frankland in california about 3 years ago. Yes, 3 years ago! He came highly recommended and was enthusiatic about the repair at first. I email him every once in a while hoping he might have some progress to report but all he says is... "I haven't found a block of time to focus on it yet." Had I known he wouldn't be able to find enough time in 3 years to repair my amp I wouldn't have wasted the time and money shipping the huge amp from me in NY to him in Ca. Any help would be appreciated. thanks! |
