The DVD-Audio format is quieter than anything you can implement for

quite
some time. SACD on the other hand is noisier than current mics and

amplifiers.

Not in the critical midrange where the ear is most sensitive it is not.

As
implemented, SACD's are at least as quiet (and generally quieter) in

this
area than are DVD-A's.

SACD is 'quieter' than 24 bit in the midrange? I don't think so. We are
talking storage ability, not actual recordings. The quietness you can
have on SACD or (better) DSD Wide you can put on DVD-Audio by converting
to PCM. Quietness beyond 24 bit, even if it were possible with super duper
DSD wide is beyond human hearing ability and any reproduction chain for

the
time being and well into the future.

I am talking about playback equipment, as implemented using the two
technologies. I refer you to Stereophiles measurements as references, and
also to some some S&V specs (although they do not distinguish low and
mid-frequency quietness from high frequency, so are more difficult to
interpret.)
