I currently have an original Rega Planet. I would to upgrade to a player
with better definition and detail. I am considering the Rega Jupiter and the
Classe' CDP-10. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

SACD..

I had a Rega Planet 2000 and loved it, but when it came time to upgrade my
DVDP I bought a Sony ES with SACD capabilities. At the time I didn't really
care about this option as I was primarily concerned with the video
performance and hadn't really given SACD much thought. Also, the CD
performance on my previous DVDP was awful. It came with a few SACD sampler
disk so I gave them a shot and couldn't believe how good they were. I then
bought a few and the rest is history. I've been converted. I'm still not
much of a fan of the multi-channel format (most just aren't done
realistically), but two channel SACD performance on this DVDP is much better
than my 2000. Also worth mentioning is the Redbook performance on this one
is also very good as well. Good enough that I got rid of my 2000 and this
is now my primary source for CD and DVD's.
