Hello,
I'm considering buying a SACD. However I do not have a SACD Player. Would anyone please tell me if playing a hybrid SACD on a regular CD player will sound any different than a regular CD or should I just save my money and buy a regular CD? |

In a hybrid SACD, there exist two layers on the CD; one, the SACD layer, the
other, a standard CD layer. The standard CD layer on an SACD is generally identical to the equivalent regular CD. This generalization doesn't necessarily hold true when the SACD is the result of a remastering where the standard CD layer was remastered as well. So, other than potential differences due to different masterings, the standard layer on an SACD should sound the same as a standard CD. Unless you're planning on purchasing an SACD player in the future, it doesn't make sense to spend the extra money. "FocusOnMe" wrote in message ... Hello, I'm considering buying a SACD.
