I do not know about Audiogon policy but if I were to guess they probably
meant that particular serial numbers were not part of 110V models meant
for
US. In fact, in certain countries it is illegal to bring in unapproved
electrical equipments.

A couple of months of months ago I wanted to buy Anthem (if my memory
serves
me right) which was a 240V model. However, Anthem denied that they ever
made
a 240V product and believed that the product could have been modified.
However, this fact was denied by the Importer and claimed that it was
original. ( I did not bother to check with Anthem with the serial
number).

Maybe ask Accuphase instead of the Importer.
