Hmm... I must add here that pre/de-emphasis on tape is NOT the same as the Dolby noise reduction. Dolby (B & C, I think) included COMPRESSION/DECOMPRESSION of high frequencies, which is very different from pre/de-emphasis. But of course you all knew that. :-) |
