Hi!
I'm new to this group so if I'm posting in the wrong place, please tell me which group to go to. I'm looking for an MP3 Digital Voice Recorder. In other words, I'd like the format to be MP3. I don't want to convert from the wav format or any other. I'd also like to be able to download it to a PC to put it on a webpage. What I plan to use it for is for classroom lectures. I really like the Olympus WS-100 but it only records in the wav format. Can anyone help? Thanks! Rose |

Go to http://www.google.com, place the cursor in the search box, and type "mp3 digital voice recorder". You will get lots of responses. I think the upcoming Zoom H2 could be just the ticket for what you're
wanting to do. Many people have been very pleased with the H4, which is available now, but costs more. With both of these units, you can record direct to MP3 if you want to. They record to an SD card, so you can either slip the SD card into a card reader on your computer, or plug the unit in via USB to retrieve your recording. Here's a really brief review of the H2: http://homerecording.about.com/od/ne..._h2_review.htm For more info, do a google search for "Zoom H2" or "Zoom H4". I think they are really great little units.
