I work on a Linux machine, and was given a script, with which I am
converting my CD collection into mp3 files, using cdparanoia and lame. Does similar software exist on a Mac? I am recommending this to a friend, who works on a Mac. -- Dieter Britz, http:slashslashw^3.chem.au.dk/~db |

Yes, it's called "iTunes." You may have heard of it. Works automatically: Put in the CD, click the "import" button, and you're done. bob |

The MP3 encoder built-into Itunes is, uh, lame ![]() suggesting you fuhgetabout MP3 and use AAC instead. http://blacktree.com/apps/iTunes-LAME/ CD CD |
