In latest "Stereophile" Recommended Components:
Page 69, Digital Processors, class B... What is the difference between the GW Labs DSP Sample Converter ($399) and the Monarchy Audio Digital Interface Processor ($249)? Do they do the same thing, i.e. upsample a 16/44.1 datastream to feed a 24/96 DAC? Thanks. |

I don't know what the GW Labs unit does but the Monarchy DSP is a jitter
reduction unit. It does not change the sample frequency. I have one between my Marantz CD player and my MSB Link DAC. I can't say whether or not it makes any difference! -MIKE |
