I used my MG-1's back in the seventies with a Marantz 8...very sweet, but
when I substituted a Hafler DH200 they really opened up.......... "Sander deWaal" wrote in message ... "Pete" said: One can easily forget that Apogees require a major electrical sub-station to power them, which puts the maggies in the more useful catagory of being able to be powered by receivers such as the new Panasonics with the class T Tripath digital amplifier technology. Maggies do fine with tube amplification as well. Just make sure they're triode(d) push pull amps with a suitable 4 ohms tap. -- - Maggies are an addiction for life. - |
