I have a Thorens TD124 that has developed a hum. The ground is good, both
from the arm and the chassis. Here's where it gets interesting - when I lift the tonearm by the finger lift I can actually feel it vibrating. It's subtle, but it's there. The hum is much louder when the stylus is contacting the record. I'm about to tear the thing apart and check through everything, but does anyone have any probable culprits in mind based on this info? Thanks, Bill Balmer |
