Ref: Listening chair..high backs and such.
Derek.. You are right the high-back does alter the sound. Back a decade or so ago, I had a high back chair that did affect the sound...I tended to lean forward in the chair while listening..not comfortable. I now have an Office type chair that comes up to the shoulders. This sits off to the side of a small couch that is in the so-called "sweet-spot". The chair is in front of the Computer. You're right..it does alter the sound to have that high back behind your ears. I never got used to it.
