I started off with old radio and amplifier chassis' that I modified for use
with a turntable. But my first stereo component system was based on a pair of Eico HF12A mono integrated amplifiers built from kits. A Garrard RC88/4 turntable with Shure M3D cartridge. Speakers were a pair of Utah Celesta Coaxials in Allied Radio cabinets. Later on I picked up a used Scott 310E tuner. This system served me well through the late 60's. I'm still building my own loudspeakers, which are now a pair of Linkwitz Lab Orions driven by various Pass Labs amplifiers. |
