LOL Sorry...I'm doing some work in San Diego, so time is short. I'll
get on it soon!

Have you met toopid? Is he as ugly as I imagine he is?

I haven't had the pleasure, though I hope to someday. I was within 10
miles of his location yesterday.

BTW, on this trip I made my usual trip to one of the best audio stores
and the BEST LP store that I've yet visited: Stereo Unlimited in San
Diego. A great time.

Hey, big sale on Allisons! (Assuming the webbsite is the same as the
store.)

Just the thing for that guy on RAHE who doesn't want to stay in one
place as he listens.

Stephen

That's weird: the site that comes up says Stereo Unlimited in Google
but is the site for Stereo Design. SU is on Sports Arena Blvd and is a
great store. SD is on Claremont Mesa Blvd. I haven't been there in
years. IIRC they were a Linn dealership. SU is a much superior store,
IMHO. And they have this large room of fantastic new and used LPs!

I haven't been down there in years...I'll have to check it out.
Stereo Design is much more hoity....not for casual browsing.

It's a really fun place. GOSH the Mission Bay area was beautiful this
week. They put me up at the Catamaran, where I had stayed before. Just
beautiful.

Appointment only when I visited. They had Dunlavy and Meridian as well
as Linn.

How long has Dunlavy been out of business?

Perhaps you missed my other post in which I noted that it has been a
decade since I visited. You've inspired me to research a contemporary
event: my visit was probably during the third week of June, 1997, a
little less than a decade ago.

No, I was keying off how vague your post was. But, I managed you to clarify
it.

1997 was a long time ago in audio years.

"Appointment only when I visited. They had Dunlavy and Meridian as well

I agree that "9 1/2 years" is so much clearer than a "decade".

1997 was a long time ago in audio years.

Of course it was. I was interested in the new Meridian multichannel and
"digital" speakers at the time. Big ole Dunlavys, too. My brother
compared them to refrigerators.

Fortunately for common sense, the topic to which I responded was "audio
stores in San Diego," oops, make that 'audio stores in San Diego'.

Note that Mr. MeLcroy can-not admit his lie's directly.

You've inspired me to research a contemporary
event: my visit was probably during the third week of June, 1997, a

Thanks Stehpen for admitting Mr. MInE that you were ticketed-often for
lying about Dunlavey Mr. McReloy.

I bought a Tom Waits album from Stereo Design many years ago on a visit
and heard a boring Martin-Logan multi-channel system. ML has improved a
lot since then.

I may have visited SU as well. I remember a room of classical lps and
that they didn't have their good turntables running, although they've
probably fixed that by now a decade later.
