Default Amps for Maggie MG-1.6

I can recommend considering the Behringer A500 Reference amp on your short
list. This is two channel amp will do 230 wpc into 4 Ohms, (but can be
bridged to provide 500 watts into 8 Ohms as a monoblock -however, I don't
know if it will acceptably drive 4-Ohm speakers in bridged mode). This is
an excellent perfoming budget priced amp at about $180. I own one myself.
I've owned the MMGs before too, so I'm familar with Maggie sound and
drivability, and it should be a nice match especially if you have a tubed
preamp.

Happy Listening!
