I would like to use the SPDIF input on my 1010 as an extra recording channel. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive interface so I can convert a 1/4" pre-fader out to this SPDIF? Or - Am I wasting my time (aka - should I get another USB 2 channel recording interface)? A Flying Cow would do the job nicely. If you need the channel, its not a waste of time. If you only need input or only output, a Flying Calf would be cheaper. You could also mix & match Flying Calfs for input and output at different bitrates if it is not important that both are 24bit, to save some money. Remember to sync to the sp-dif input then! Surely there is a reason, but I wonder why the questionee has not considered an extra delta-card .... Kind regards Peter Larsen |
