I need a replacement rubber capstan (pinch) roller for a 16 track Otari
MX-70 1" tape machine. Does anyone know of a source of this item, either
new or refurbished ? Thanks for your help.

First, try Otari. Otherwise, how will they know there is a demand for

In the US, you should be able to get rubber rebuilds from VIF Magnetics
and from Parts Express. I don't know if Precision Motor Works will do
the MX-70 ones.

In Australia, I don't know. Ask your local typewriter shop who they use
for platen refurbishing. There are still some of those guys out there.
