Likely(?) If you want a more precise answer, you will need to describe the source and destination equipment in a bit more detail. |

![]() mono into two channels Group: rec.audio.pro Date: Thu, May 25, 2006, 12:33am (EDT+4) From: (a-l) is there anything special i need to do to get two channels of the same mono recording into a digital recorder? will a simple y cable work from the outs of my preamp into the digital recorder? Why would you need 2 tracks of a mono signal? In any event a "Y" connector will do the job very nicely? Eric |

Your (unidentified) preamp has XLR, balanced, line-level output? Your (unidentified) digital recorder has two XLR, balanced, line- level inputs? Are these inputs terminating or "bridging"? Why do you think you want to record an identical signal on two channels? What is the point? |

Might not be answering the question here, but why not just duplicate
the track after it is recorded? |
