PRO TOOLS|HD 3 ACCEL FOR PCIe
The Pro Tools|HD 3 Accel system supports extremely large and complex
sessions by leveraging the power-on-demand capabilities of three
dedicated DSP cards (for PCIe) connected via Digidesign's proprietary
TDM II bus architecture. The most powerful of the base Core systems,
Pro Tools|HD 3 Accel combines those specialized DSP cards with the
processing resources of your computer to deliver awesome audio
performance, large track counts, and impressive plug-in processing
power. To help you take advantage of that power, the Pro Tools|HD 3
Accel system also includes the largest number of Digidesign® and
Digidesign Development Partner effects and instrument plug-ins as part

PCI Express (PCIe)
Note that this is a PCIe system--the latest incarnation of a Pro
Tools|HD system from Digidesign. To use the system, you need a host
computer that accepts PCI Express (PCIe) cards, such as the new Apple
G5 PowerMac. The software is not (yet) compatible with Intel-based
Macs, but then again, there are no Intel-based Macs with PCIe slots
yet. You will, however, be eligible to update your Pro Tools HD
software when an Intel-compatible version is available later in 2006.

192 I/O
In addition to those PCIe cards, you need an audio interface to get
your sound into and out of the system.

192 I/O, the flagship of the Pro Tools|HD interface family, is the
best-sounding audio interface ever offered from Digidesign, rivaling
similar products costing more than twice its price. In addition to
support for up to 16 channels of analog and digital input and output,
192 I/O features a wide range of analog and digital I/O options to
choose from, including 8 channels of high-definition, pristine-quality
analog I/O, 8 channels of AES/EBU, 8 channels of TDIF, 16 channels of
ADAT, and 2 additional channels of AES/EBU or S/PDIF digital I/O.

The 192 I/O is easily expandable with expansion card options. I do not
have these options, however. You'd have to buy them on your own.

PAYMENT
I will accept personal checks, certified checks, bank orders, credit
card checks, postal money orders, or PayPal. All checks and money
orders must clear my bank before I will ship (or hand off) any
equipment. The wait could be up to two weeks . If you're using PayPal,
you'll need to add 2.2% to the sale price to cover the PayPal fees. No

SHIPPING
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I will ship to the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, and some parts of
Asia, Africa, and South America. I will ship any method you prefer, but

the buyer assumes all risks for the shipment. I recommend using FedEx
insured. The buyer pays all shipping costs.
