That would be my guess too, but others more knowledgeable than me would
be able to say for sure. The the head of the mic looks to be similar
among the RE55/PL9/DO54.

There's another (fairly uncommon) mic, the DO54, that's the
same as the PL9 and similar to the '55. It has the short handle.

Thanks! I didn't know about this one. The specs look identical to the
PL9, though the description differs a little, but that might just be
marketing. Interesting. . . .
