Default good cheap mikes ?
Try a MCA SP-1. Pro audio,stage and lighting in Cypress CA still has a
few left.

Same capsule as the Marshall 603/604. Same "Schoeps" style circuit but
with lot's of room for improvements.

They cost $39.95, is that cheap enough for you?
