"soundhaspriority" wrote Thank you. I don't know if you should be thanking your obsessive friend for helping you in your obsessions over me. You both need to go on a "soundhaspriority" 10-step addiction group, to reduce your addiction to me, junkie. Check out the link for their product line: http://www.belt.demon.co.uk/priceus.html And their first product listed Silver Rainbow Foil http://www.belt.demon.co.uk/product/ref/ref.html Naff stuff, in' it? Product description: "170 mm long by 15 mm wide ($35). The interaction of all spinning discs with the gravitational force produces energy patterns that adversely affect the human being's ability to correctly perceive sound." Works a treat too, mate. I should know, I have reams of the stuff all over my house. How could this product work, scientifically speaking? Like, who cares? Fact is, it works. You don't have to believe me. You get your money back if it doesn't. Nuff said. Regarding "gravitational force produces energy patterns," the moon, for example, exerts a gravitational force on a human equal to a garden pea located approximately 20 inches above your head. To consider the net effect of a CD's gravitational force on a human would be infinitesimal. Once again, I find you here blabbering on about completely misinterpreted and misunderstood scientific concepts, and then creating strawman arguments wherein you debate yourself. All because some little itsy bitsy silver foils threatened the holy heck out of you! The blurb is simply referring to the forces produced by the spinning disc, you ignorant moron. The energy patterns is another matter entirely, and you've already proven that you have no desire to understand those theories, only a desire to refute them. I myself refute that statement you quoted. It isn't wholly accurate, because the foils don't simply work on spinning objects (although this is how they are recommended for use by PWB when you buy the Silver Rainbow Foil kit). Most people do use them to enhance the sound of their favorite CDs, but some go beyond that, and use it on all kinds of objects, such as the cd player itself. Yesterday, I used it to enhance the sound of my Rega (not just the spinning parts). No conventional audio product improves the sound like the foils do. My tweaks, which EVERYONE HERE WHO HAS TRIED THEM HAS OBSERVED, have an effect on our perception of sound. The Silver Rainbow Foils, all combined, have an even greater effect than my free tweaks. And $35 for foil, what a joke on the consumer. You're right. It's a very specially treated type of laminated foil, that has amazing effects on any number of things, and improves your sound by a lot more than $35. They should charge more for what the product does, this is obviously a "joke" price. But, this is a case where the consumer wins, because PWB is a great company. I'm quite glad you went out of your way to research and deride the products actually. You mentioning them gives me a chance to talk about them, which I had not done until you mentioned them. The foil strips (you get 3) can be sliced up in 2mm segments, which produces a great many applications. Now I have tweaked my audio systems up the wazoo with conventional audio products, and there is NOTHING I have ever bought for $35 that does as much as the Silver Rainbow Foils does for audio. What the hell can you buy for $35 in the high end of audio? You can't even get decent rca plugs for $35, let alone interconnects! Are you telling me that you're such a broke ass slob, you can't even afford a $35 investment to bring your sound to new heights? You -would- whine about a lousy $35 bucks, wouldn't you, Powell? (BTW, thanks again for giving me the opportunity to talk about my love for Belt's revolutionary audio products. Please do some more research and find other such products to ridicule!) |
