Handed a recording made on some machine in someone's lap during a concert.
"Make it sound great. It was recorded DIGITALLY!" Almost nothing except noise above 4K. Violins and oboes sound like they're playing under velvet. I copied the signal and doubled the frequency (without halving the time), chopped off everything below about 3K and mixed it at 1/4 volume with the original. It isn't authentic, but it sparkles better than what I had before. |
