Default Laptop DAW

make sure you visit the Echo website and determine which chipsets are
compatible with the Indigo.......it's not a big list.....that will narrow
down your choices somewhat.

A bit of a general query. I'm interested in those of you using stock
laptops/notebooks for DAW use. I'm considering such for multi-track
recording (PC-based system) of small combo along with composing using
piano, softsynths, soft sampler and guitar. At this point, I'm
looking for an idea of the particularly good brands for fairly mobile
use and recommendations for particular spec's on these stock units.
For what it's worth, I'll be using Echo Indigo IO with external HDD
and CD burner. Thanks for all.
