Is there any software other than ProTools that does a reasonable job of
time compressing an audio file by about 5%? Everything I've tried sounds like crap. They are voice-only files. |

I use Pro Tools, and it's been a long time since I tried anything else for that particular task, but back in the days when I did, WaveLab did the best job of it among the various apps I tried. That was v3.
