Encouraged by the lively coffee discussion I'm wondering if there are
any lovers of good food, gourmets if you will, around here? The late Fi
magazine attempted to bring good food, wine and music together but I
guess the time wasn't right for it and they went out of business. So
let's try it he

1. Your favorite and least favorite dishes?
2. Your favorite cuisine?
2. Your favorite and most overrated chefs?
3. Your favorite and most overrated restaurants?
4. If you cook, your signature dish?
5. Your favorite dining music? (after all, this is an audio group)

Cheers,

Margaret

I wish I could help here. However, as much as I enjoy the taste of food,
it slows me down.

Only carbs do that to me.

I eat lighly and informally, ie., noshing at the kitchen counter. This
has allowed me to maintain my high school weight.

I hate you! :-)

I work out five days a week and watch my carbs and still....luckily I'm
tall.

Cheers,

Margaret

I have some current information for you. I am currently dining off a huge
pack of imitation crab meat purchased at Sam's Club. The stuff is actually
pretty good, but the atmosphere is zero.

When I go to NYC, I love the Korean restaraunts on 33rd Street. Down
around NYU, there's the Dojo soy burger, one of NY's cheapest famous
lunches. Village Ma is another one. A bowl of Tim Yung is a great
warmer-upper.

warmed up for what? the next course dining at the Y?

I just ate a bunch of smallish apples. My favorite in this bunch appears to
be small northeastern Fujis.

Some people live to eat. I eat to live.

My favourite apple - very seasonal - is the wonderful Russet.

Poopie veers off target again.

I fail to see what your "favourite apple" has to do with audio. Isn't it
about time you went back where you came from, Poopie?

Considering that I can't ever recall a post of yours other than personal
abuse, I reckon my discussion of apples is as on-topic as you ever have been
!

Poopie lowers the bar.

OK, I'll buy that. Now that we've established the standard, you should
remember this post of yours the next time you whine about others posting
off-topic. (But if you slip up and forget about it, I'm sure somebody
will remind you, Poop-Head.)

Maybe you should address your comment to Margaret who started the thread ?
