Hi,
I'm thinking off upgrading my very modest home studio. I currently have a c-port 2000adc as input to a DAW. This unit has served me well over the years, but I feel I have out grown it a bit. The pre-amps are noisy, and the latency is quite high (12ms or so). I've done some looking around and the MOTU 828 mark II looks a really good unit, with a good feature set. So, I'm really looking for opinions from those who may have used this unit, or may own one. Thanks in advance.. M |

Thanks in advance.. M I've been using one for a year or so with Logic Pro an a Mac G5 and am satisfied with it. Converters are OK and it seems pretty reliable with a lot of useful features. I don't often use the built-in preamps, but they seem OK as well. -Jay -- x------- Jay Kadis ------- x---- Jay's Attic Studio ------x x Lecturer, Audio Engineer x Dexter Records x x CCRMA, Stanford University x http://www.offbeats.com/ x x---------- http://ccrma.stanford.edu/~jay/ ------------x |
