I usually don't, actually. In the case of my request to post links
instead of binaries, I responded to the groups affected by the original
post. I think that's a pretty reasonable case for cross-posting and not a
violation of netiquette, don't you?

As for your "Net Cop" remarks, I don't think it's unreasonable to politely
ask people not to pee on my foot. I don't understand why you accept the
spamming binary post, but jump all over me for asking the offender to
stop.

Anyway, I don't want to contribute any more to the cross-posting, so if
you want to discuss this further please either tell me what group to post
in or bring it to rec.audio.pro where I hang.

Nah. Let's just forget it. I got up on the wrong side this morning, no
doubt. Usually most things on Usenet are like water off a ducks back to me.
