No, not scat and bondage (close) but Studiomaster.

Hey, the Club 2000 (182) . WRT the Output cards, where does Vref originate?
As far as I can see it it a bunch of earths thru resistors from various
cards. (?). Which makes sense I suppose, but why - just a clean earth not
thru various chassis bits ?

I have a problem with both o/p card clipping when not on PFL. Pin 1 of the
input opamp from the bus is giving 30v pk-pk from a relavitely small input !
Both channels. Both IC1 were originally dead, and of course I had to SILify
a DIL jobbie for the R channel (SIL v-hard to source). feedback R ok, and
cap was 47p instead of the 100 on the schem, but I guess that's immaterial
....

Never can find a good pooh when you need one !

Think I found it - R2 opamp o/p series 33R resistors where blown, sending
opamps well on the way to 'open loop'. Presumably somebody has plugged a
large (speaker level?) signal back into the inserts. Both channels.

The dangers of the use of 1/4 jacks for both speaker and
line level signals, I take it.

And the dangers of school students using audio gear. Mind you, they don't
have a monopoly on doing silly things ...
