Default Help with Denon 2805 Zone 2 operation

I am trying to have Zone 2 set up to output to a separate pair of
speakers in another room. I thought I had everything figured out since
if the source I select is the tuner than I have no problem; however if
I change to any other source (whether DBS, DVD or V. Aux) no sound
comes out of the second pair.

The manual is impossible to figure out, and I have read this part of it
about 5x.

Thanks for any insights.

Typically, digital input sources are not available to the multi-room
outputs. Can't think of a good reason why, but HT receivers I've seen so far
are all this way.

Mark:

I sure hope your wrong. : ( What's the point have a zone 2 if none
of the sources can be heard in the other room.

It seems like a form of false advertising if a company claims I can
play my music in two rooms and doesn't bother to say that that no
modern music source can be used.

Is there a workaround that I am missing?

All I can suggest is a separate D/A converter to feed into an analog input
of the receiver, and from there to Zone 2.

Page 67 of your owners' manual, in the box under the receiver picture, item
number 2.

Basically says no digital source can be output from Zone 2.
