Wife and I just bought our first home. Trying to get my PC audio around the house. Got speakers now that come out of audio jack in the PC back, then to self amped PC speakers in the kitchen. Long time agoe, somehow managed to splice ( lengthen ) some 8th inch 8th stereo jack ( think : 2.4M ) audio cable. Remember it was way more complicated than regular speaker wire : 3 or 4 wires inside . Used anything that was available : lamp wire, old speaker wire. They work well enough : just news and stuff. Now, I want to get sound to the basement and a bathroom. How would I come out of the back of my computer and split etc to all the different locationss ? I'm thinking I'd want the self powered little speakers so I'd have control of volume and off/on at each location? Can you start with one line then branch / split off. ? Thanks for any help Marty Is the music stored on your PC? Then get a wireless music device like Squeeze Box 2 and run Slim Server. WRT54G by linksys works well. |
