hi everyone i have an old sonystr-vx10L receiver with feedback on one side of the speakers has anybody got any idea how to rectify this i have a multimeter but not much knowledge of hifi repair i'd be grateful for any help all the best Gary :? Thanks for including the model#, but the description of the symptom is lacking a little. What do you mean by feedback? Properly speaking, in audio terms, feedback is a phenomenon which occurs when a devices output is 'fed back' to its input. In the case of a sound system when a microphone is placed to closely to the speaker, a 'squeal' is often produced. Pehaps you are experiencing a similar effect, but the cause could be a number of things; and the use of the term connotes a diagnosis, not a symptom. What, exactly--and under what conditions--are you observing? jak |
