Hey!
I am trying to record some music onto my computer from a vinyl
album. I have a record player, but it only has built in speakers and no
line out. This makes it impossible for me to connect it to my computer.
I was wondering if it were possible to rewire it so I could add a line
out minijack and connect it to my computer's sound card. How would I
wire this? There are two sets of three connections that say AUX and
PHONE. The three of each include: LEFT, RIGHT, and GROUND. I really
would appreciate the help in trying to get this to work. Thanks!!!

For connecting to TV's and stuff, I use a Radio Shack 273-1374
isolation transformer. One for each speaker lead. If your into
doing some wiring, The response will be good feeding into
a line level input of computer or other device.
Carefull wiring will be needed soldering the fine leads. The speaker
connections go to one set of transformer leads, and the other set of
leads will feed into the line level of the sound card. This
gets a little tricky cutting the cables apart for proper connections, but
if your willing we can continue with the job.

You could connect to the ends of the volume control. One end will be
GROUND and the other will be signal. Mounted on the same shaft, there
is one left and one right volume control.

Does your record player have a connection for a cassette recorder? If
so, conntect the record side to your computer. (They are usually
labeled "REC OUT")
