Hi. I just got a Trident Series 65. I'm more of a producer than an
engineer. I'm very new to electronics :-) ... ANYWAYS, I want to take some photos of this console and would like to replace the lights first... I already unsoldered and took out the old lamps [I'm talking about the VU lamps...] Does anyone have a direct link to these lamps online? they seem like they are 1" long? or even a better: a link to an LED I can just throw in there? If so could you please email it to me at ? thanks so much! |

Without a pic it's hard to say what they are. You can't post a pic here though as it's not a binaries group. Maybe you could put up a pic on a website or post to a relevant binaries group e.g. alt.binaries.schematics.electronics or even a better: a link to an LED I can just throw in there? You can't just 'throw in' a led to replace a filament lamp. For starters the lamp may be powered by a.c. Leds also have an inherently low operating voltage and need an external current limiting resistor ( although there are some types where it's all integrated into a package ). If so could you please email it to me at ? thanks so much! It's considered polite practice to post replies here actually. Then everyone can see the answers.
