I'm currently using a pair of Spirit Absolute 2s as reference monitors, but
I'd like something a little more meaty bass wise for dance music. I'd appreciate any suggestions ![]() Thanks TJ |

Buy according to budget - 600-700 quid should get you into a pair of TB2S+, if you've got more cash spare go bigger! http://www.pmcloudspeaker.com/index2.html -- re-configure the solar matrix in parallel for endothermic propulsion |

Utterly fabulous. Clean and delightfully extended real bass. A true renaissance of the transmission line school of thought and design. 100% recommended. Graham |

My favorites that are not astronomically priced are 1) Dynaudio 1) Quested 2) errrrr 3) that's it The BM15 might work for you or the BM6a with a subwoofer. |

Hi,
We use Quested F-1's for mixing Dance and Rap music. And Meyer HD-1's for the stuff we record with microphones; bands, choirs whatever. The Questeds seem to handle the hard attacks of those 'savage kik drums' ![]() The house music stuff seems to translate well from the studio to the club when mixed on the questeds, just don't go mad on low end. I mixed some backing tracks recently for a rapper at large outoor gig, I went along to check it out and was really happy how well the tracks sounded over a large PA. Blah Blah Blah. I think though you should try a monitor that isn't ported for a start. Regards DS |
