Moving a lot is a bitch, I've been there... so is bum gear. I told the story
here, back in spring of 2004, about the line of people at the local guitar
center shortly after christmas, who were all returning M-Boxes. It was
a real fiasco back then. I would have hoped that more of the bugs could
have been worked out by now.

These days, a certain amount of incompatability, either with hardware
or the user, is pretty much expected. You really don't have to bitch
very much to get your money refunded, unless it's a pure software
product. Heck, I'm taking back my third Firewire external hard drive
case today, the one I bought yesterday.
