furthermore, the user has no idea that he is being affected by a bug in MS

Ie it is not a terribly effective demonstration.

It gets discussed enough that they soon learn. But the bottom line is, THERE
IS NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT IS BEING DONE, PERIOD.
