I just bough mine from E-Bay and I can't wait to give this unit a spin I
have 2 pickups in my Larrivee so this seem to be the most logical buy for
pre-amp.

Just would like to hear from people who as one and hear the bad and good
about the unit and what they use it for the most.

Is this the 2-channel preamp/eq?
The bass player in the band I mix live had one and it totally destroyed his
tone. The eq sounded dull and the thing had very little headroom and
distorted easily.
Maybe it was broken...
He now uses an Amek 9098i EQ and it sounds wonderful.

It should work nicely. It's really two 1140's
Hedges used the 1140's and achieved a spectacular live tone.
I'm using a Rane ap13 but also considered the 2240 for a while.
I have used one for recording and I liked it.
A bit dated but they're nice units, and as I remember, not the disaster
